I've been making solid body guitars for a few years now. The ways in which these are made has changed quite a bit in the last few years. My first guitars were done more traditionally with tried and true woodworking techniques.

With CNC machining becoming a more regular part of the process for the average woodworking shop, the possibilities going forward are only limited by your imagination. Guitar shapes can be much more organic and smooth.

If you can draw the shape you'd like a guitar body to have, it can be milled out of any kind of stock.
