I've taught a number of woodworking classes for beginners through experienced woodworkers. These are often covering single aspects of woodworking to help people hone their skills.

Students have expressed a great deal of satisfaction of being able to produce something beautiful with their hands and take it home with them. Starting with good looking blocks of wood, students are able to create something to be proud of (even if things go a bit awry in the process).
