Woodturning
I've been turning for a number of years now. There is something visceral about taking a block of wood and giving it an organic shape. This is the most hands on and intimate type of woodworking I do.
Spindles and Bowls
I've done quite a bit of both spindle work and end-grain work (primarily bowls). My capacity for doing work is quite large so I can produce just about anything you are interested in.
Segmented Turning
I've recently begun working on creating bowls from segmented rings. These bowls carry their own challenges but have the advantage of always presenting the most beautiful side grain on the most visible parts of the bowl (the interior and outer sides).
Other Projects
In addition, I've worked on creating a variety of projects from kits using the lathe. This includes pens, letter openers, small toys, and pepper mills.
